11th annual NHMEA October Music Fest and Fall Al-Member Meeting
Plan now to join your colleagues at the 11th annual NHMEA October Music
Fest to be held at the Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) on
Thursday, October 17, 2013. This year’s conference will include a full
day of sessions, all-member luncheon, and all-member meeting developed
for current and pre-service music educators. We are delighted to host
NAfME National President, Nancy E. Ditmer as our keynote speaker. Along
with our partners from NHACDA and NHBDA, we are pleased to host
headlining clinicians Dr. Patrick Freer (middle school choral
techniques), Dr. Carol Krueger (music literacy), Dr. Sandra Nicolucci
(curriculum & assessment), and Dr. Deborah Sheldon (instrumental
rehearsal techniques), along with other experts in the music education
profession.
2013 OMF Schedule:
8:00-8:30 a.m. - Registration
8:45-9:15 a.m. - General Session: Keynote Speaker
9:30-10:45 a.m. - Interest Sessions
11:00-12:15 p.m. - Interest Sessions
12:30-1:30 p.m. - General Session: All-Member Luncheon & Visit Exhibits
1:45-3:00 p.m. - Interest Sessions
3:15-4:30 p.m. - Interest Sessions
4:45-6:00 p.m. - General Session: NHMEA All-Member Meeting
REGISTRATION:
The pre-conference Registration Fee will be $50.00 for members, which will include the cost
of the all-member luncheon. Attendees are asked to pre-register for the conference to secure
appropriate catering needs. Please visit www.nhmea.org/20 to pre-register online for the
conference (credit card required) or download and print the pre-registration form to mail with a
check. Checks can be made payable to “NHMEA”. (*NOTES: Any in-service teacher who has
become a new member of NHMEA and NAfME may register for the conference at no cost. In
addition, any NHMEA member who is not currently employed may attend the conference at no
cost.)
ALL-MEMBER LUNCHEON:
The NHMEA All-Member Luncheon will be held at SNHU as part of the conference event. The
registration fee will also include the cost for the lunch.
PAST PRESIDENTS’ RECEPTION:
The Past Presidents’ Reception will begin at 3:15 p.m. with focused discussion on the past,
present, and future direction of NHMEA. Past Presidents do not need to register for the
conference to attend this reception.
ALL-MEMBER MEETING:
NHMEA members who are unable to attend the full conference are welcome
to attend the NHMEA All-Member meeting at 4:45 p.m. at no cost.
